Correctional services officials take on World Choir Games

Fifty-five correctional services officials are warming up their voices ahead of the World Choir Games - now coming to South Africa.
The tenth edition of the global contest takes place in Pretoria from 4 to 14 July 2018.
The event held every second year was previously hosted in Sochi, Russia. While, teams from at least 35 countries will be descending on our shores.
Singabakho Nxumalo from the Correctional Services Department says the participants - employed at Kgosi Mampuru II Prison - have been tirelessly preparing for the competition.
Other competitors will hail from South African universities, schools and independent vocal groups.
In KZN - choirs from St. John's, and St. Mary's Diocesan Schools for Girls, Hilton College and Drakondale Girls are also gearing up for the contest.
