Cops probe attempted murder after Durban father allegedly poisons kids

KwaZulu-Natal police say they have opened a case of attempted murder after a man allegedly poisoned two of his children and then himself at their home in Inteke, south of Durban.

The father, as well as his sons aged four and 10 were rushed to the Inkosi Albert Luthuli hospital on Monday after family members found them.

Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says KwaNdengezi police were called to the scene and found the trio unconscious.
"It's alleged that the father poisoned himself and his children. They were all airlifted to a hospital in critical condition.
"The police are investigating cases of attempted murder at the moment, but there are no arrests," says Mbele.
