Cool, rainy weather for KZN this weekend

After days of blistering hot weather the cool and rainy weather in KwaZulu-Natal will no doubt be a welcome reprieve.

The South African Weather Service has sent out a warning though of disruptive rains that are expected over the southern region.
These may lead to flooding later.

“Disruptive rain expected over southern KZN which may lead to flooding of roads and settlement, disruption of traffic due to major roads flooding and disruption due to potholes/blocked drainage systems today,” says the SAWS.
Forecaster Ayanda Nsele says we can expect 80% chance of showers and thundershowers over the southern parts of KZN on Friday, which could lead to potential flooding.

"We are expecting a rainy weekend - cloudy and cool. Sunday we are expecting 60 percent over the eastern parts and 30 percent over the western parts. There are no alerts for Saturday and Sunday at this stage, just for Friday.”
