Controversial nuclear deal challenged in WC High Court today
The secretive process behind South Africa's proposed and much talked about nuclear deal goes to court today.
Busi Mtabane is with the Right2Know Campaign. She says the deal has been shrouded in secrecy from the onset.
"We feel that they are kind of shady tenders that might affect the country in the end," she said.
Social justice organisations will challenge the secrecy surrounding the nuclear deal procurement in the Western Cape High Court:
"It looks like the deal has already been struck with Russia and others, but there were no party considerations. We want all the details around the deal; the cost - where is that money is going to come from?" she said.
