Continue being cautious during severe weather conditions: COGTA

The
KwaZulu-Natal Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs is
urging people to continue taking the necessary precautions to remain safe
during severe weather conditions.
The
department has been commenting after three people, including a pregnant woman, were
killed after a wall collapsed onto their home in KwaMashu's L Section - north
of Durban on Friday night.
MEC
Nomusa Dube-Ncube has sent her condolences to the Hadebe and Mpanza families.
Officials
have identified the victims as Ndumiso Hadebe, Ntoko Mpanza and 3-year-old
Anathi Mpanza.
Dube-Ncube
says the department visited their families yesterday.
“"If
you can avoid driving, please postpone your trip and please do not cross rivers
and streams. Our disaster management teams are on the ground trying to attend
to all emergencies," she said.
There is a 60% chance of showers across the province later.
