Construction on Eskom's R215m KZN power line resumes

It's all systems go for the construction of Eskom's new power line for KZN's uMgungundlovu and uThukela areas.
The utility resumed its 47-kilometre leg of the project this week - that started in 2016.
Work on the R215-million line is set to benefit 190 skilled and unskilled job seekers.

Eskom's Ntombekhaya Mafumbatha says the project will expand and strengthen the province's electricity infrastructure.
"The consumers, the benefits that they will see is the reliability of supply because it will then give an opportunity for the network to be flexible.
"When there is a challenge in terms of one line, we are able to provide electricity via another line. Consumers will then experience very minimal challenges in terms of supply interruptions."
