The Constitutional Court is due to hand down judgement on the Nkandla matter, related to the non-security upgrades made to President Jacob Zuma's private home.

The DA and EFF approached the courts when Zuma failed to pay back some of the money, as recommended by Public Protector Thuli Madonsela.

They applied for an order clarifying the powers of the Public Protector.

The DA's Phumzile van Damme says the DA is looking forward to the court's decision.

"The DA looks forward to the court's determination as to whether Parliament failed to satisfy its Constitutional mandate to hold the executive to account.

"We've worked tirelessly to both court and Parliament to ensure that President Zuma goes to book," she said.

The EFF is confident of victory.
