Messages of
congratulations continue to pour in for the matric class of 2023. The results
for the National Senior Certificate examinations were released on Thursday.

In KZN, pupils scored a pass rate of 86.36%.
A special awards ceremony for the province's top achievers was held at the ICC on Friday.
KZN Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube said the results are exceptional.
"I am not going to remind everyone about the challenges that have been outlined that this class faced. The late American poet and civil rights activist, Dr Maya Angelou, had this group of learners in her mind when in 1978, she said, 'Still I rise'."
Jaskaran Rajaruthnam from Westville Boys High School secured second place in the province.
"You have to start early; you cannot be starting midway. From day one, you must start working. You don't have to work a hectic amount, just a small amount every day. The most important thing is, you must not fall behind."
In KZN's uMkhanyakude district, Mayor Siphile Mdaka says they are celebrating.
The district was placed fourth nationally and took first place in KZN.
"We are very delighted with the performance of the district."
