Concerns of trespassing on PMB landfill fire site
Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
Officials in Msunduzi say they're worried residents are trespassing at the New England landfill site in Pietermaritzburg that's been on fire since Monday.

Municipal spokesperson, Thobeka Mafumbatha says the blaze has not yet been completely put out.
The smoke has enveloped much of the city. Residents have been advised to stay indoors.
Firefighters say it will take them several days to extinguish the inferno.
Mafumbatha says security has been tightened.
"The fire has not been completely put out as yet, but it is being surrounded and the firefighters are doing everything that they can to ensure that everything is under control.
"We do appeal to the community of Pietermaritzburg to remain patient with us and the area is access controlled. For now it is still closed for waste pickers," says Mafumbatha.
