Comrades entry fee increases at midnight
Athletes who are planning to run the 2016 Comrades Marathon have until midnight to take advantage of the early bird entry fee of R380.
From tomorrow it will cost R420 for South Africans to enter to run the ultra marathon.
Race Director Rowyn James says thousands of runners have already registered for the down run from Pietermaritzburg to Durban next year.
"We are just over 9 300 entries already received in the first month of entries, which is tracking very seemingly unfavourably compared to the same period last year.
"So, we are very confident that we'll get our full quota of 20 000 entries by the end of November, when the entry window closes," he said.
