Competition Commission report shows Health Department’s gross negligence - DA Shadow Minister of Health

The Democratic Alliance (DA) has criticised the Health Department after a report revealed South African's are not getting their money's worth from medical aid schemes.
The Competition Commission released its Health Market Inquiry report on Monday.

It found that, in the private healthcare industry, people are getting less for their contributions.
The report also found the Department of Health failed to exercise oversight.
DA Shadow Minister of Health Siviwe Gwarube says this has led to vulnerable people being exploited by the industry.
Gwarube says government's meant to protect people from the rising cost of medical care.
