The ANC in KZN wants communities to be part of the solution towards sustainable water supply.

Durban residents are fuming about a water outage that affected large parts of the city related to an eThekwini municipality labour dispute that has disrupted services.

The party's provincial executive committee shared its resolutions from its recent ordinary meeting in Pietermaritzburg on Tuesday.

A reliable water supply was one of the items on the agenda.

The party's Bheki Mtolo says they want the water minister to spearhead the initiative, starting with the uMkhanyakude and Zululand districts.
