Commissions ‘waste of money’ - analyst
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Saturday is the deadline for President Cyril Ramaphosa to submit an implementation plan on the recommendations of the Zondo commission to Parliament.

But a political analyst says we should not get our hopes up.
This after the president has now received all completed volumes of the report, including the amended versions.
A total 358 recommendations are contained in the volumes.
Political analyst Protas Madlala says citizens should not expect anything to come out of the president's action plan.
"Take the issue of the Moerane Commission on the political killings, and I personally participated in that one but clearly they still continue," Madlala says.
Madlala believes commissions are merely an elaborate show for the public.
"I've said it publicly that commissions, I think overall, I think they are a waste of money because nothing happens after the findings of the commission."
