Cold weather expected to worsen this week in KZN

The cold weather that has gripped most parts of KZN is expected to get worse this week.

The South African Weather Service says some showers are expected from today, with possible heavy rains which can lead to localized flooding on the north coast from tomorrow night into Thursday.
Forecaster Stacey Colborne says we can expect slight partly conditions throughout the day.
"We are however, expecting to cloud up in the afternoon, there is a 30% chance of shower and rain expected along the coast as well adjacent areas which include Durban, Margate, all the way to Richards Bay and Sodwana Bay," said Colborne.

Cooperative governance spokesperson Senzelwe Mzila says north coast disaster Management teams have been placed on alert.
He added the MEC Hlomuka has urged residents to continue to pay careful attention to the weather patterns as there are rains expected in the Northern areas of KZN which could lead to localised flooding.
Residents must be cautious as the increment weather persists across the province.
