Cold snap hits KZN on Wednesday
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
East Coasters might notice a chill in the air as a cold front makes its way through KwaZulu-Natal.
The South African Weather Service says the maximum temperature dropped to 5 degrees Celcius in Kokstad and 8 degrees in Ladysmith during Wednesday morning's cold snap.
"With this passage of the cold front we are expecting isolated showers and thundershowers in the east and scattered showers in the west for today," says forecaster Odirile Modipa.
Modipa says the passage of the cold front should make its way out of the region by Thursday.
"For tomorrow, those scattered showers will move to the northern parts of KZN, while the rest of KZN will experience isolated showers and thundershowers."
