Cogta: Msunduzi challenges not linked to resignation of administrator
Updated | By Nondumiso Dube
KZN's Co-operative Governance Department has denied that the resignation of Msunduzi's administrator is linked to the challenges currently faced by municipality.

This after the municipality's administrator Scelo Duma resigned as announced by the city council speaker on Tuesday.
Spokesperson Senzelwe Mzila says they are in the process of preparing for the introduction of the new administrator of Msunduzi.
He says they also acknowledge the positive contributions made by Duma.

"The withdrawal of Mr Scelo Duma as ministerial representative has got nothing to do with the cabinet resolution of placing uMsunduzi under section 29 (B).
"We also note that some of the problems are still going to take time in resolving and this includes escalation of debtors' books, ageing infrastructure and other issues.
"We believe that a conducive platform for the new ministerial representative has been created."
