COGTA keeps disaster management on alert in KZN
Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC, Sipho Hlomuka says they're on standby and will assist communities severely affected by this week's heavy rains.
A woman was killed yesterday, following a structural collapse at her Umlazi home. Police have opened an inquest docket.
"We are assisting the family through our team working with the Disaster Management team.
"We want to caution the people across the province, that they must try by all means to be safer and where there are issues they must report so our team can come and help them."
