Hawks officials are on the manhunt for those responsible for a cocaine cache from South America discovered in Durban.
Bricks of the drug with a staggering street value of R240 million were discovered on an MSC ship at the harbour last week.
The crime fighting unit received a tip-off and swooped on the vessel, which had sailed in from Brazil.
Spokesperson Nomthandazo Mbambo says the cocaine was hidden in containers carrying wooden floorboards.
"On arrival, the container was searched. It was discovered that between the boards, there was large black sports bags, each with bricks of cocaine.
"The drugs weighed 600 kilograms with an estimated street value of R240 million.
"No arrests were made at this stage pending the ongoing investigation.”
