19-year-old Cebo Mhleli Mbatha was stabbed to death at Clifton Third Beach on Saturday night.
He was with a group of friends when they were allegedly targeted by criminals who tried to rob them of their cell phones.

Mbatha's relative, Thobeka Hadebe says the first year BA Law student was a bubbly person who had a way with people.
"Mhleli's passing has really shattered my heart. What's more painful is that these people don't know the damage they have caused us. He was the only brother in the entire family. We not coping at all".
"I don't think arresting the people who did this to our brother will heal our hearts. It won't bring him back. As a family we not really concerned about that. Although we do want justice for him, I think only God can do that for us," she said.
