Claassen Board of Inquiry: More witnesses could testify
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The first witness is set to take the stand at the Claassen Board of Inquiry today.

That's where suspended national police commissioner Riah Phiyega’s fitness to hold office is being probed.
The inquiry follows damning findings by the Farlam Commission which probed the deaths of 44 people at Marikana in 2012.

Proceedings started yesterday and mainly dealt with the scope of the inquiry.
Judge Cornelius Classen found that any witness with relevant information could be called even if they did not not appear before the Farlam Commission, the same rules apply for evidence presented.
Evidence leaders say 40 people could be possibly called to testify, some whom are likely to be opposed by the defence.
