Cholota bail application postponed to Tuesday
Updated | By Jacaranda News
The former personal assistant of corruption-accused ex-Free State Premier Ace Magashule will remain behind bars until at least Tuesday.
Moroadi Cholota began her application to be released on bail in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Cholota made her first court appearance following her arrest on charges relating to the Free State multi-million-rand asbestos project - which included fraud, money laundering and corruption.
Cholota arrived at the OR Tambo International Airport on Friday evening under heavy police guard - after she was successfully extradited from the United States.

Her lawyer Loyisi Makapela read her bail affidavit.
"I wish to introduce evidence that will show that I will attend all relevant court hearings in my matter and will not flee the country or pose a flight risk, nor will I commit any crimes or intimidate any witnesses in terms of this matter.
“In proving and showing this evidence that it is in the interest of justice to be released from detention at the earliest possible opportunity."
The State is opposing bail.
