Children should be taught their rights: KZN Social Development
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Social Development in KwaZulu-Natal says a lot still needs to be done to educate communities about therights of children.

South Africans are marking Child Protection Week.
The department's Nokuthula Khanyile says while the safety of children should be prioritised throughout the year, children also need to know what their rights are.
Khanyile says child sexual abuse in the province, remains a huge concern.
"It's not just about the violation of a child - it damages the self-esteem and confidence of a child and has long-term implications in terms of the development of the child," Khanyile said.
