The centre has been operating since 1986 and its office and crisis line have been a safe heaven for thousands of children who are dealing with abuse.

The renovations have been funded by The Sibaya Community Trust along with their trustees.

Operations Manager, Adeshini Naicker says the centre will be revealing a wall plaque in honour of The Sibaya Community Trust for being their sole donor.

Naicker says the crisis line operates for 24 hours to assist children across the province. She says they attend to calls relating to abuse, bullying, divorce and negligence.

Because KZN Childline is a non-profit organisation, they rely on donations, volunteers and donors like The Sibaya Community Trust to help keep them going.
