Childline in bid to raise funds for children
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Childline in KZN will continue its telethon today in an effort to raise much needed funds.

The organisation handles some 400 000 calls from troubled children annually.
Spokesperson Jane Pillay says as of yesterday they had managed to raise R250 000. The fundraising initiative closes today.
Pillay says Childline assists many children who have been raped as well as those finding themselves in vulnerable situations.
She says they offer treatment, counselling, outreach programmes and court preparation programmes when needed.
"Family members get counselled so there's an entire process in which you're trying to restore dignity back into a broken child's life.
"Because Childline has social workers out on the field, the organisation needs a continuous stream of income to keep this organisation going," she said.
