A nine-year-old boy is being treated in hospital, after he was shot by robbers at a home in La Mercy.
Reports from the scene are that the child was shot as the five-member gang opened fire towards the house, while running to their getaway car, a VW Golf.
"One of the bullets struck the child's abdomen. The child is currently in a private hospital in a stable condition," IPSS Medical Rescue's Paul Herbst says.
