Paramedics rescued a four-year-old child from a locked car in Ballito on Monday.
It's believed the parents left the youngster inside their vehicle for several hours while they went inside a local mall to shop.
A passerby noticed the child was unresponsive inside the car and called for help.
"Medi Response Advanced Life Support paramedics were called," says spokesperson Paul Herbst.
