Child rescued from collapsed house near Port Shepstone
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
A 7-year-old south coast boy has been rushed to hospital after his family's house collapsed on him in Boboyi, near Port Shepstone.
It's unclear at this stage what caused the house to cave in.
KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Services' Robert McKenzie says the situation could have been worse had it not been for the quick reaction of neighbours.

"Paramedics arrived at the scene to find that community members had already dug the boy out from underneath large chunks of rubble. The child had sustained serious injuries and paramedics treated the child at the scene, he is currently recovering in hospital," he says.
