Child abduction messages a hoax: KZN Education
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
KZN Education officials are asking online users to not share a message about children being abducted from their schools on social media.
Chaos broke out at some primary and high schools in KwaMashu yesterday.
At Daluxolo Primary in C-section, panicked parents arrived to pull their children out of classes after reading that teachers were being held hostage and some pupils had already been abducted.
One high school teacher told us that after fetching their children from Daluxolo, more than 20 parents had made their way to that school.

Muzi Mahlambi says it's a hoax.
"What they're playing with is a real painful thing that affects parents having to leave their jobs for something that does not exist," he said.
Mahlambi says a similar hoax message did the rounds about two years ago. He says they're not taking the matter lightly.
"Police are going to deal very harshly with people sending these things. What's going to happen is as you're in receipt of this, it's going to be traced back to the original sender," he said.
