Chief Justice Mogoeng appointed UKZN Chancellor

Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng is the new Chancellor of the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
The appointment has been announced by UKZN Council Chairperson, Reverend Vukile Mehana.
Mogoeng takes over from Zweli Mkhize and will serve in the position for four years.
Chief Justice Mogoeng's duties will include conferring all qualifications and awards at graduation. He will also perform functions assigned to him by the Council of the university.

Mogoeng, who chairs a number of judicial boards, is the country's fourth Chief Justice, and has served in the position in the Constitutional Court since September 2011.
The tenure will not exceed two consecutive terms of office.
