Chatsworth woman's body found, son still missing

KwaZulu-Natal police have confirmed they have found the body of an elderly paraplegic Chatsworth woman who went missing - along with her son six days ago.

68-year-old Latchmi Durgan's body was pulled from a dam in the Silverglen Nature Reserve yesterday afternoon - where her son's car was found a few days ago.
The whereabouts of forty-six-year old, Sagren Pillay are still unknown. Kogie Reddy says she last heard from her brother and mother on Thursday.
Reddy says her husband went to their house later that day - to check on them - and became worried when there was no answer.
"They recovered my brother's car. The last conversation with my brother was at 9.50am," Reddy said.

KZN police say a case of murder has been opened.
"[The body] was in a decomposed state. Therefore, we have opened a case of murder. It is suspected that she was stabbed by unknown suspects. But her son is still missing. We are looking for him as well," the police's Thulani Zwane said.
