The long, grey pony-tailed man walked into court dressed in a black t-shirt and jeans and arms covered in tattoos, this morning.
When the court was in session - the State made it clear they would be opposing bail.
The State then asked for the matter to be postponed for a formal bail application, and also because the investigating officer was not present in court.

The man’s attorney told the court he had no objection to the State’s request for a postponement.
The magistrate said because they were dealing with a Schedule 6 offence, the onus would be on the accused to convince the court to release him on bail.
Outside the court – protesting residents praised the man’s daughter for coming forward and reporting the rape to her teacher.
