Chaeli Mycroft to conquer Kilimanjaro
Updated | By Portia Cele
Chaeli Mycroft, who has cerebral palsy and is wheelchair-bound, will begin her ascent on Thursday together with a 6-member team.
Speaking to Newswatch, Mycroft said the purpose of the climb is to raise funds for an education programme run by the Chaeli Campaign to support special needs children.
"Nobody really speaks about the issues that people with disabilities face because they're not seen issues and people don't know how to deal with disabilities.
"It's the only way that people are going to learn and society is going to develop into being more inclusive and more aware," she said.
Here's more on the Chaeli Campaign.
