Mass shootings in KwaZulu-Natal will come under the spotlight on Wednesday.
Police Minister Bheki Cele will update the province on the police's investigations into the deaths of 14 people in Amaoti and Richmond earlier this month.
Six men, including a 17-year-old boy, who were sitting behind a tuck shop were shot dead in Amaoti, north of Durban.
In Richmond, eight people aged between 15 and 41-years were gunned down in an attack at a homestead at eSigcakeni.
Initial reports were that both incidents may have been drug-related.
"The briefing will also see the South African Police Service provide updates on other cases of murder within the province, where significant progress has been made," says the minister’s spokesperson Lirandzu Themba.
