Updated | By Sandile Bhengu
The movement of cattle has been banned nationwide.

The Department of Agriculture made the announcement on Tuesday, saying it's to curb the spread of foot and mouth disease.
The ban will be in place for the next 21 days and will be reviewed weekly.
Currently, there are 116 confirmed cases of foot and mouth disease in six provinces, including in KwaZulu-Natal.
