Case of PMB man who allegedly attempted to kill cop postponed

The case against a man who allegedly opened fire on a police officer in Pietermaritzburg has been postponed to Monday.
The man who is facing charges of attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm appeared at the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate's Court on Monday.
The South African Police Service says a team of officers investigating a murder case went to a property in the KwaPata area last week to search for suspects.

KZN police spokesperso, Nqobile Gwala says that's when police arrested 33-year-old Malusi Memela.
"They introduced themselves as police officers and one of the occupants in the house came out and ran away with a firearm in his hand."
"The police gave chase and shots were fired towards the police officers, and the suspect sustained an injury, and he was appended and was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm with three ammunition," she said.
