The case against six suspects linked to the murder of acting Gauteng Health CFO Babita Deokaran has been postponed to September for a bail hearing.

The suspects appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court on Monday.
"Six suspects appeared in court today [Monday] facing charges of murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition," says the NPA's Phindi Mjonondwana.

Deokaran, who was originally from Durban, was shot outside her Johannesburg home a week ago.
The single mother had been helping authorities with an investigation into a PPE contract.
Seven people were arrested on Thursday following her murder.
However, Mjonondwana says only six have been charged.

"The seventh suspect that was arrested could not be placed on the roll due to the fact that there was no evidence of their involvement."
It's also emerged there was a passenger in Deokaran's car when it was sprayed with bullets last Monday.
Authorities say the person was not injured and is safe.
