Case against 64 unrest ‘instigators’ hit with another snag
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Prosecutors say the trial against dozens of alleged July unrest instigators has been delayed again.
The 64 suspects appeared in the Durban High Court, facing several charges, including incitement to commit public violence and arson.
The case was postponed previously to give them time to sort out their private legal representation.

KZN NPA spokesperson Natasha Kara says the court, on Monday, heard that a few others who had hired private lawyers were now seeking legal aid.
She says the case was postponed to give them time to secure representation.
"The case was adjourned to 23 May 2024 for a pre-trial conference."
