Investigators are trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding a hijacking and the subsequent murder of a car owner whose body was found buried in Nongoma.

Police were tipped off last week about two men travelling in the stolen vehicle from Nongoma towards Mtubatuba.
Spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says they arrested the pair, and a further probe led authorities to Nongoma’s Embonjeni area.
The victim's body was found buried in a shallow grave next.
She says the man is yet to be identified by his family,
"Upon questioning the suspects, it was discovered that none of the occupants owned the vehicle. The suspects, both aged 34, were placed under arrest for possession of suspected stolen property.
"The team conducted further investigations, and the findings were that the owner of the vehicle was allegedly hijacked of his vehicle and killed. His body was buried in Nongoma area."
