Cape Town's level 6B water restrictions remain in place
Updated | By Heart FM News
Cape Town authorities say they will only consider lowering the city's water restrictions in September - despite dam levels rising due to recent rains.
This means the strict level 6B rules will remain in place.
The City of Cape Town is now looking to national government for direction on when to lower restrictions.
Residents are also pleading for water tariffs to decrease.

The Water and Sanitation Department's Sputnik Ratau says talks are planned for September.
"What we have always said and what we are continuing to say is that in any situation, post-drought, we're aiming at an average of 85% dam levels for the province. That would give us an idea of where to go in terms of lifting restrictions or reducing," Ratau said.
According to the City, the overall dam levels - measured at a weekly basis - are currently sitting at 53,3%.
