Calls for tighter security around Umlazi hospital
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
The Public Servants Association in KZN has called on government to beef up security around the Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital in Umlazi, south of Durban.

Community outreach employees affiliated to the union held a protest on Friday over what they say is a rise in robberies and other crime in the area.
They say a staff member was hijacked and abducted while traveling with a mobile clinic last week.
The KZN PSA’s Mlungisi Ndlovu says staff need protection.
"We are very concerned that some members of an outreach programme are being hijacked and some of the staff are being victimised by managers. There are criminal activities happening at hospitals and there is a shortage of staff."
