Calls for KZN to outline monkeypox plan
Updated | By Nondumiso Dube
There have been calls for the Department of Health in KZN to
outline its monkeypox prevention plan.
The NICD says even though South Africa hasn't recorded any cases, healthcare workers are being prepared.
The IFP's spokesperson for health in KZN says the province should take lessons from the COVID-19 crisis.
Ncamisile Nkwanyana says people need to be educated about monkeypox.
"They need to give us a report on this virus. When we ask about the measures, she didn't tell us anything. It's her duty as the MEC and politcal head to go around and tell people more abut Covid-19 and Monkeypox."
