Busy weekend for emergency services
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
It has already been a busy weekend on the roads for emergency services in southern KZN.

Authorities have launched an investigation into a crash that claimed two lives near Izongolweni. A truck rolled on the N2 in the Ugu District on Friday night. Netcare911’s Shawn Herbst says the details surrounding the crash are still unknown at this stage.
"Reports from the scene indicate that the two adults sustained fatal injuries in the motor vehicle collision. All necessary authorities were on scene to investigate", he said.
Meanwhile, five people were hurt in a separate crash on the N2 near Harding. Herbst says the injured were taken to hospital.
"All patients were on scene and transported through to hospital. Authorities were on scene to begin investigations", Herbst said.
Two bikers collided on Marine Drive in Uvongo, south of Port Shepstone, last night. One of the bikers sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital. The other was assessed but chose not to be transported to hospital for further care.
