Businesses affected by eThekwini's night water restriction

A one-size-fits-all approach to implementing water restrictions in Durban has had a negative effect on some businesses in the city.

eThekwini Municipality's hosting business owners for a Drought Relief Indaba at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The city's Tozi Mthethwa says the objective of the Indaba, in collaboration with the Durban Chamber of Business and Commerce, is to see how these restrictions can be better implemented to suit businesses that operate at night as well.
''Water used in offices for drinking, for washing, using the toilets, if that water is not available then it is not possible for business and offices to be operational.
''So we would like businesses to come and attend the Indaba so that together we can find a way of coping with this situation,'' she said.
