Business Unity South Africa says it’s encouraged by and hopeful about the energy plans announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Ramaphosa on Monday night outlined steps to deal with the country's electricity crisis.

They include increasing Eskom's maintenance budget, recruiting skilled personnel, including former plant managers and enabling businesses and households to invest in roof-top solar installations.
"The big primary news is they will be able to at least secure themselves bigger power generation which is a great step and obviously moving along with international trends the solar programmes for households and commerce with a tariff that is going to be quite important," says Busa's energy manager Happy Khambule.
