Bus overturns, 29 children injured in Taylor's Halt
At least 29 children have been left hurt, after their school
bus overturned on M70, outside Taylors Halt near Pietermaritzburg.
The cause of the crash isn't clear at this stage. ER24's Russell Meiring says the children had managed to climb out the vehicle, before medics arrived on scene:
In a separate incident near Sweetwaters, 10 children were injured when the minibus taxi they were travelling in, veered off the road and crashed into a ditch in Mpumuza.
“Medics assessed the patients and found that 29 children, had
sustained minor to moderate injuries,” Meiring said.
“Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found. The children were treated and transferred to nearby hospitals. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigation,” Meiring added.
