Bus driver suffers heart attack while driving from DBN to JHB

Paramedics say a long-distance bus driver has died after he suffered a medical emergency on a trip from Durban to Johannesburg.

The Emer-G-Med team received a call from a passenger on Thursday night, who said that the driver wasn't well.
"The caller stated the driver appeared to be suffering a medical emergency and had pulled the vehicle to the side of the road," says spokesperson Kyle van Reenen.

"The caller sent his GPS location and advanced life support paramedics were immediately dispatched.
"On arrival, the man was found to have suffered cardiac arrest and was sadly declared dead on arrival of paramedics."
