Burst pipe affects water supply to parts of Durban
Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
eThekwini Municipality says it's deployed water tankers to Chatsworth, Shallcross and Marianhill where residents have been without water since yesterday.

Spokesperson Thulani Mbatha says a pipe burst due to the heavy rains and has affected parts of Durban South.
"It has affected large parts of Chatsworth, Northdene, Shallcross and all the way to Klaarwater, KwaNdengezi, part of Tshelimnyama, Marrianhill and surrounds. So it is not isolated.
"What seems to be confusing is that people that are supplied from the same pipeline are not affected especially people of Umlazi and surrounding areas. So they are trying to find out where the problem might be," he said.
The municipality is urging residents to be considerate when collecting water from the tankers so as to ensure fair distribution.
Below is a list of all the areas affected in eThekwini:
•Parts of Northdene
•Chatsworth
•Shallcross
•Klaarwater
•St Wendolins
•KwaNdengezi
•Dassenhoek
•Milky Way
•Part of Tshelimnyama
•Savannah Park
