Zuma was replying to yesterday's Presidency Budget Vote Debate in the National Assembly.

However, it was to a half empty House as the DA, EFF, Freedom Front Plus, NFP, Cope, ACDP, UDM and PAC decided to boycott the sitting saying they cannot legitimise an empty speech of a discredited and illegitimate President.

In his reply, Zuma said as part of the measures the 35 vacant posts meant to be filled by the Presidency during the current financial year have been frozen.

"Government is also already implementing other measures to cut wastage as we announced in the State of the Nation Address. Numbers of support staff accompanying Ministers and deputy ministers on foreign visits has been reduced. Stakeholder banquet following budget vote debates have also been done away with," he said.
