The trial of an alleged July unrest instigator will not go ahead on Thursday.

Ndumiseni Zuma's matter was set to be heard on Thursday and Friday in the Pietermaritzburg Regional Court.
The 35-year-old is believed to be linked to the burning down of the Brookside Mall in Pietermaritzburg.
He faces charges of incitement to commit public violence and incitement to commit arson.

KZN NPA spokesperson Natasha Kara says the State was ready to proceed and witnesses were warned to be in court.
"The matter was postponed at the behest of the defence. The defence made an application for an adjournment, stating that they required more time to consult with Zuma and finalise their instructions.
"The matter was adjourned 1 September 2022 for trial."
