A six-year-old boy has been seriously hurt after falling from a building in the Durban city centre.
He plummeted to the ground from a window on the sixth floor of the block of flats on Dr Pixley Ka Seme Street.
"The child came to rest on the actual road below on West Street and paramedics responded to find another private ambulance service in attendance," Rescue Care spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson said.
Jamieson says a child had sustained major injuries and was in a critical condition.
"An advance life support medic placed the child on a manual ventilator on the scene before rushing the child through to hospital for the further care that the child required."
